GENERAL DESCRIPTION: EP5345 is a room temperature cured, rigid, unfilled system characterized by rapid cure in thin sections. This system exhibits maximum chemical resistance and highest physical characteristics within its class. Curing can be achieved at a practical rate as low as 35°F, making it ideal for outdoor repairs of cracks in asphalt roads, cement sidewalks, driveways and metal structures such as iron, steel and aluminum. Other applications include tooling surface coats, electrical potting, cable splicing and casting small parts. Can also be used for fibreglass truck, boat and automobile repair in cold weather conditions. Because of high exotherm and high reactivity, epoxy thickness must not exceed ¼". Ideal wherever a hot fast system is required.

APPLICATIONS: Outdoor repair of concrete driveways, concrete sidewalks, asphalt streets and roads when weather conditions are cold. Electrical potting. Electrical insulation.

The resultant unreinforced epoxy has these properties:

Mix Ratio, by weight: 5R : 1A
Pot Life: 10 min (based on 100 grams at 72°F)
Cure Time: 1 - 2 hr
Viscosity, mixed: 5500 cps
Specific Gravity: 1.19
Hardness: 93 D
Linear Shrinkage: 1%
Maximum Use Temperature: 232°F
Tensile Strength: 11,800 psi
Compressive Strength: 16,500 psi
Flexural Strength: 18,900 psi
Cured Color: light amber
