Crystal Clear Casting Resin - Rigid and Flexible Urethanes

The crystal clear 200 series is a water clear, UV-protected, hard (80 D) low-viscosity casting urethane: CC200 (cast to 3" thick, cures in 16 hrs), CC202 (cast to 0.5" thick, cures in 90 min), CC204 (cast to 6" thick, cures in 48 hr) and CC206 (cast in excess of 6", cures in 48 hr). The mix ratio is a convenient 1:1 by volume and the mixed viscosity is very low. Bubble free castings are best achieved using a pressure casting device, but many users have reported that bubble-free casting can be obtained without one.

Clear Flex 50 is the flexible version of the Crystal Clear Series. It has a Shore hardness of 50 A, a mix ratio of 2:1 by weight and cures in 18 hours.

If you need to achieve a specific color by adding dye, we offer a special economical system called the SC325 Series. It is a natural foggy-clear color and easily takes opaque pigments (EP7702) to allow you to match a color for specific projects.

The above systems have a special UV-additive so it will not yellow when exposed to sun light.

If cost is an important issue, take a look at our most economical clear casting resin EP4101 which is a polyester. Polyesters shrink more, and casting should be done in 3/8" thick layers. Some very impressive coloring effects can be achieved by adding our transparent dyes to the above products. Light will still pass through the cast part, but there will be a hint of dilute color throughout. See cured samples of 21 different colors in our color chart.
