White Mold Release Wax is offered by Eager Polymers as a mold release agent for all the numerous and widespread applications currently used by carnauba wax. In the plastics industry, a film of carnauba wax may be used alone or superimposed by other compounds such as PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) as an excellent releasing agent for most jobs.

However, there are different grades and colors of carnauba wax, whereas our white mold release wax EP7922 is pure white. This feature is of great importance to plastics manufactureres who cannot tolerate staining, discoloration or marking off of the cast piece.

Our white mold release wax is easy and simple to apply. It spreasds freely by merely rubbing on with a rag and will dry rapidly to yield a hard, tough film. This film of wax will be very durable and abrasion-resistant. It is ideally suited for any release application where a wax film with the above mentioned properties is essential.

Plastic Manufacturers have found that the application of raw unprocessed carnauba wax is difficult and necessitates melting and buffing. The physical state of Eager's white release wax is such that it permits quick and easy application, but the carrier present is readily volatilized after the wax is on the mold surface, thus excessive rubbing (for smoothness) and buffing (for high-sheen) is unnecessary.

When it is desired to remove the compound from the mold surface, turpentine or a similar solvent may be used.
