Smooth Cast 325 Series Color Match and Economical Clear Casting Urethane

The Smooth Cast 325 (SC325) Series has a convenient mix ratio (1:1 by Volume) and was formulated to offer an inexpensive choice for color-matching parts. It cures naturally to a foggy clear telephone-hard plastic. SC325 Series easily takes opaque pigments and many clients have used our line of opauqe dyes, EP7702, to achieve bright yellows, red, green, blue, black, brown, flesh, siena and grey.

There are three products in this series. SC325 sets up the quickest (2 minute pot life; 8 minute demold time) and has the largest shrinkage (still quite low, only 0.01 in/in). SC326 offers slightly longer working and demold time (8 minute pot life; 60 minute demold time) and lower shrinkage (0.006 in/in). SC327 has the longest working time (10 - 20 minute pot life; 2-4 hour demold time), the lowest shrinkage (0.0035 in/in) and is the best choice if you will be casting under pressure.

Some very impressive coloring effects can be achieved by adding our transparent dyes to the above products. Light will still pass through the cast part, but there will be a hint of dilute color throughout. See cured samples of 21 different colors in our color chart.
